ALOtec Dresden at the SpreeTec neXt 2025 industry meeting.

ALOtec Dresden GmbH will be represented at this year’s SpreeTec neXt 2025 industry meeting with a specialist presentation. Our development engineer Lukas Olawsky will present “Dual arc welding as a key technology for resource-efficient additive manufacturing”.

Dual arc welding combines two arcs in a single process, thereby enabling a significantly increased deposition rate while maintaining high process stability. ALOtec Dresden is currently developing a collaborative WAAM robot system for BTU Cottbus in order to make this technology specifically usable for applications in modern joining process technology.

The presentation provides insight into the structure of the system, the underlying process principle, and the potential and challenges involved in using dual arc processes for the additive manufacturing of metallic structures.
