WAAM robot system delivered

The collaborative WAAM robotic system for the Chair of Joining and Welding Technology at BTU Cottbus has arrived in Cottbus. ALOtec Dresden is now handling the on-site installation.

Following the successful preliminary acceptance at our facility in Dresden-Kesselsdorf, the WAAM robotic system was dismantled, packed, and transported by truck to BTU Cottbus. In the two weeks leading up to the delivery, staff from the Joining and Welding Technology Department had gained in-depth familiarity with the system at our facility – after which the preliminary acceptance took place.

The system is now located in the research area at BTU. Over the next four weeks, ALOtec will fully install it there and commission the system. The process will conclude with the final acceptance inspection—after which the WAAM system will officially be transferred to the research operations of BTU Cottbus.
