Repair of bearing shells

Repair and reconditioning of heavily stressed bearing seats on a gearbox housing simply and quickly using laser powder cladding ALOpowder.

The gearbox housing with several worn bearing seats is made of a mild steel. During laser powder cladding, a CrNi steel was used as a filler material. This is ideal as a filler material for repair and coating. The refurbishment was carried out by approx. 1 mm. In this way, minor and major damage could be repaired quickly and almost without a trace, and the bearing seats were quickly ready for use in production again. The repair saves our customers a lot of time, energy and material.
