Research project: AM Shield
Research project on pioneering material structures for the hybrid production of radiation-resistant components in continuous operation.
ALOtec Dresden is working on a joint development project to create workflows and establish methods for the design, screening, and validation of radiation-resistant materials. The main focus is on the development of economical manufacturing processes based on additive-subtractive manufacturing for processing structural materials with high neutron resistance and low activatability.

Our tasks:
- Network coordination
- Integration of the laser cladding process with powder
- Demonstration of a hybrid manufacturing concept
- Mapping of the entire process chain
- Networking in fusion
