From the design drawing to the first weld bead: our collaborative WAAM robot system for BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg – now in motion.

To round off the documentation of this project, the collaborative WAAM robot system for the Chair of Joining and Welding Technology at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg can now be seen in motion – from the design drawing to the first weld bead.

Two robots in master-slave mode, 16 synchronized axes, and Fronius welding technology with PMC and CMT: the video shows the system in action – built for the SpreeTec neXt research cluster.
